Second EMERGE School successfully hosted by UNINOVA and AlmaScience (Portugal)

We’re thrilled to announce that the Second EMERGE project School has been successfully hosted by  UNINOVAThis week-long event (8th – 12th of July, 2024) brought together 10 PhD students from various European universities for a week of collaborative and hands-on learning.

Researchers from UNINOVA and ALMASCIENCE prepared different practical workshops where young researchers could learn different production techniques with a common vision: sustainable electronics! In addition, an introductory presentation was held to explain the EMERGE Project and the hands-on works to be performed. 🍃

Each participant was able to develop two out of four laboratory works available:

  • Work 1 – Printed Metal Oxide Based Mechanical Nanogenerators
  • Work 2 – Printed heaters for large area applications
  • Work 3 – Laser-induced Graphene for Sensor Fabrication
  • Work 4 – Electrolyte gated transistors on and with paper

Besides that, participants could strengthen their network and enjoy Lisbon together through a touristic tour and a social dinner!
