Contact Person: (Helmholtz Institute Erlangen-Nürnberg): Dr. Jens Hauch (j.hauch@fz-juelich.de)
Description:
AMANDA is designed to fully automatically produce solution processed solar cells. All steps from solution formulation, film formation, characterization and ageing are integrated in one platform. The setup consists of interconnected system of gloveboxes equipped with specialized devices for:
- Ink formulation: scales, heating plates and shakers
- Film deposition: spin coaters, pipetting and sample transporting robots
- Device finishing: electrode evaporation unit
- Device characterization: UV-VIS spectrometer, inspection camera, current-voltage (IV) measurement station and accelerated ageing module
Specifications:
- Automated fabrication of organic thin film semiconductors and organic solar cell devices on 1inch x 1inch substrates
- Pipetting robot for solution mixing, spin coating and thermal evaporation for film applications, including thermal annealing stations.
- Automated UV-Vis measurement and light dependent current-voltage measurements
- Automated preparation and characterization of multiple samples.
- Accelerated aging (2.5-15 suns) for light stability test
- Glovebox system for controlled inert (N2) atmosphere
