Equipment: InfinityPV vLBIC
Technique: Light Beam Induced Current (LBIC)
Contact person (Hellenic Mediterranean University): Konstantinos Rogdakis (krogdakis@hmu.gr)
Description: The LBIC system offers ultrafast laser scanning of single junctions and modules over an area of 50×50 mm2, and powerfully highlight failure modes from ingress, delamination, bubble formation once failure is established with the ISOS testing laboratory. It is controlled using the included infinityPV software with auto calibration, active area calculation, color maps and simple scanning area selection for fast and easy imaging of any PV technology. The LBIC maps allow for easy identification of defects, coating errors, shunts and photovoltaically inactive regions.
